The Lord Lifts You Up!

The Lord lifts up all who are falling
and raises up all who are bowed down.
PSALM 145 : 14

Father in heaven, You are always there for meu, lifting me up each time I fall and raising me up from the clutches of sin. I humbly praise and glorify You O Lord for never giving up on me despite my sins.

You are gracious and merciful, slow to anger and of great kindness. I come before You today begging for Your forgiveness, mercy, and compassion. I am a sinner and only by Your grace can I be saved. Please forgive me O Lord and heal me from all my sinful habits.

Indeed O Lord You are good to all and compassionate toward all Your works. Let all Your works give You thanks, and let Your faithful ones bless You. Thank You so much for all the fruitful and highly profitable works that You continue to pour upon me each day. Works that speak of the greatness of Your glory.

I belong to You alone O Lord for You are the one who created me, formed me, and brought me up to the world. I will praise Your name forever, my king and my God!

With much love and full of praise and thanksgiving, I humbly pray in Jesus Name. Amen.

LOWLY SERVANT

“He has looked upon His lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed."
LUKE 1:48

Let my soul glory in the Lord;
the lowly will hear me and be glad.

LIVE IN HUMBLE CIRCUMSTANCES

I know indeed how to live in humble circumstances; I know also how to live with abundance. In every circumstance and in all things I have learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry, of living in abundance and of being in need. - Philippians 4:12

HUMBLE YOURSELF

"Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” -- Luke 14:11

Have among yourselves the same attitude that is also yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not regard equality with God something to be grasped. Rather, he emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, coming in human likeness; and found human in appearance, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross. Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth,  and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:5-11)

Humility should be a way of life for us. Jesus is very clear throughout the Gospels that there is little or no place for the arrogant in heaven. The path to eternal life is strewn with the wreckages of lives of pride and self-sufficiency. Dependency upon God does not mean a demeaning existence — it simply means that we recognize that without God we are nothing and with Him we have everything. (Kerygma)

FIRST STEP OF HUMILITY - OBEDIENCE

The first step of humility is unhesitating obedience, which comes naturally to those who cherish Christ above all. (St. Benedict -Rule of St. Benedict 5:1-2)

BREAD OF LIFE

"I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh." (John 6:51)

"I am the bread of life."
John 6:48

Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that a man may eat of it and not die. (John 6:49-50)

Food is a basic need of man in order to live. No human being can ever survived without food. You may have food in your table but what good will it do you if you do not eat it?
Jesus is the nourishment of our body, soul and spirit. He alone has the power to raise us up so that we will live forever. Such magnificent power was made available to us by God through Christ and He is just waiting for us to make a move.
There must be a concrete action on our part as it is written, "if any one eats of this bread".

HUMBLY REGARD OTHERS

Do nothing out of selfishness or out of vainglory; rather, humbly regard others as more important than yourselves, each looking out not for his own interests, but also everyone for those of others. (Philippians 2:3-4)
